I've joined the Army! If you are a friend or family member, and you are trying to find out how to reach me, here's how...

I will be shipping off to Ft Benning, GA on April 19, 2001. I will probably spend two to three weeks in receiving, and then I will be in Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for 14-16 weeks. I will eventually have a .mil E-Mail address, but I haven't set one up yet. Until then, this site will probably not be updated until I graduate my training and move on to my eventual duty station. My first duty station will be Ft Stewart, GA, which is just outside of Savannah, GA. This is the home of the 3rd Infantry Div., and I will probably be assigned to a mechanized infantry unit. I am hopeful that I will be able to pursue Airborne infantry, and eventually try to make Ranger. This would make my training period a lot longer, probably up to a year in all. I have signed up for a three year enlistment to start, active duty, and I will probably either extend that, or re-enlist at the end of it.

For now, any online correspondence can be sent to either griffinmo@hotmail.com, or mfoldenauer@msn.com. If, for some reason, you start getting mail back as undeliverable from those addresses, you can send email to estategardeners@earthlink.net, and my parents may be able to forward it to me from that address. Just mention in the subject field of the message that it is a letter for me, and they will get it to me somehow. Any snail mail can be sent for now via the following address...

Matthew Foldenauer

C/O Pat Burleson

4170 California Street

Omaha, NE 68131

I will update this site as soon as I am able.
